PROFICIENCY TESTING (PT)
Proficiency Testing (PT) is one of the way to review the laboratory's performance and to identify improvement needed in laboratory. Hence, for quality assurance of laboratory results, regular PT participation is a very important. Nowadays, accreditation body (like NABL) as well as the standards ISO/IEC 17025: 2017 have made the PT Participation as mandatory requirement. PT is utmost important task that laboratory anticipates & performs satisfactorily to sustain their laboratory business and to present their performance. In case, if laboratory performance is in the PT round is unsatisfactory, reason should be investigated for necessary adjustments. Regular participation over multiple PT programs is a way to review the trend of laboratory’s performance. PT Providers like us (MD Technocrats) maintains full privacy and integrity for each of the participating laboratories as specified in ISO/IEC 17043.
CALIBRATION SERVICES
Calibration is a process of comparing the Equipment / Device of an unknown value against a reference standard
of known value. Calibration of an instrument in its purest sense is the process of determining its accuracy by
comparison.
Reason for having instrument calibrated is to:
1. Ensure readings from instrument are consistent with other measurement.
2. Determine the accuracy of the readings obtained from instrument / device.
3. Establish the reliability of the instrument / device i.e. that it can be trusted.
4. Calibration maintains accuracy, standardization and repeatability in measurements, assuring reliable benchmarks
and the measurement results. Without regular calibration, an equipment can fall out of specification, may provide
inaccurate measurements and threaten the quality, safety and equipment longevity.
